CAMP OLIVAS, City of San Fernando, Pampanga- In a last-ditch effort to prevent the manufacture, distribution and sale of banned and dangerous firecracker products in the market which could be used for New Year’s Eve celebration, PDG OSCAR D ALBAYALDE, Chief PNP, together with PCSUPT JOEL NAPOLEON M CORONEL, RD, PRO3 and PSSUPT CHITO G BERSALUNA, PD, Bulacan PPO, personally visited firecracker stores and warehouses in Bocaue, Bulacan, today (December 28).
The annual inspection and auditing is done so that the police leadership will find out if there are loopholes in the campaign against illegal fireworks that will also aid them in crafting strategies to prevent the proliferation of prohibited firecrackers and pyrotechnic materials in line with Republic Act 7183, or An Act Regulating the Sale, Manufacture, Distribution, and Use of Firecrackers and other Pyrotechnic Devices.
PDG ALBAYALDE and PCSUPT CORONEL also checked the permits and license to operate of dealers in compliance with RA 7183, MO 31 and EO 28.
The Chief PNP also directed all Chiefs of Police in the region to strictly implement the provisions of RA 7183, ensure the filing of tight case against violators to attain conviction.
Also present during said inspection were high ranking officials from the PNP-NHQ and PRO3.
Meanwhile, the PNP reminded the public of the following prohibited firecrackers as follows: Piccolo, Watusi, Giant Whistle Bomb, Giant Bawang, Large Judas Belt, super Lolo/Thunder Lolo, Atomic Bomb, Atomic Big Triangulo, Pillbox, Boga, Kwiton, Goodbye Earth, Goodbye Bading, Hello Columbia, Coke-in-Can, Kabasi, Og, Other unlabeled and imported firecrackers.
