CAMP OLIVAS, City of San Fernando, Pampanga- PBGEN RHODEL O SERMONIA said that Police Regional Office 3 has constantly been finding ways and means to help cater to more less fortunate families in the region and PRO3 personnel amidst the enhanced community quarantine in Luzon as it brings its flagship project “Rektang Urban Gardening sa Kampo” to the people of Central Luzon.
PBGEN SERMONIA said that the regional office started fish farming or aquaculture inside the camp premises as well as vegetable garden.
The “Rektang Urban Gardening sa Kampo” is in support to the Department of Agriculture’s Kadiwa program to serve more people and ensure the unhampered supply of fresh produce.
This morning, April 17, PBGEN SERMONIA led the harvest of tons of produce including fresh okra, eggplants, tomatoes, chili pepper and tilapia.
“This will help provide additional fish and vegetable supply among our personnel, and of course, the needy during this time of crisis,” PBGEN SERMONIA added.
Aside from the “Rektang Urban Gardening sa Kampo”, PRO3 has several programs to help the less fortunate such as Rektang Bayanihan, Adopt a Family Program and PRO3 Food Bank.
