Police Regional Office 3 strongly condemns in the strongest terms the bombing of Jolo Cathedral of Our Lady of Mount Carmel on January 27, 2019. While we are outraged by the tragic attacks on our Christian brothers and sisters and reiterate our unequivocal condemnation of the bombing of churches not only in Jolo but on the different places of worship, we are not pointing fingers on any faith community.  Rather, we assure that we will use the full force of the law to bring to justice the perpetrators behind this incident.

We extend our sincerest condolences to the families and friends of the victims and offer our sympathy to the peace-loving people of Sulu who were victims of these barbaric acts.

Let us keep on upholding the spirit of unity and continue to pray for those who would seek to sow discord and enmity in our country for the sake of peace.

The Police are collectively taking steps to ensure that every one must feel safe and secure knowing that their freedom to worship is protected.

We continue to appeal to the public to help us in our goal of maintaining peace and order in Central Luzon.
