Camp Olivas, City of San Fernando, Pampanga- A businessman was arrested and assorted high-powered and low-powered firearms were seized during implementation of search warrant in Cabiao, Nueva Ecija, on Saturday morning (April 13).
 
At around 11:50 in the morning, joint operatives of Cabiao Municipal Police Station and Regional Mobile Force Battalion 3 armed with Search Warrant no. 50-2019-VEJ issued by Hon. Judge Celso O. Baguio of RTC Branch 34, Gapan City for Violation of RA 10591 against Jayson DOMINGO y Custodio proceeded at   Brgy. San Fernando Norte, Cabiao, Nueva Ecija and implemented said search warrant.
 
Seized from DOMINGO’s possession and control were the following: one (1) KARATAY shotgun with serial # TS870BD-N-12176; one (1) M16 rifle with serial # RP173757; one (1) cal. 9mm GLOCK 26 pistol with serial # GUA123; one (1) cal. 40 GLOCK 23 pistol with serial # GBS155; one (1) cal. 45 CZ97B pistol with serial # A5990; one (1) cal. 45 SMITH AND WESSON pistol with serial # F13950014; one (1) cal. 6.35 BROWNING pistol; one (1) cal. 38 revolver without serial #; one (1) rifle magazine; nine (9) pistol magazines; and thirty-eight (38) live ammunition.
 
Charges for violation of RA 10591 (Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act) were filed against the suspect before Prosecutor Julius King G. Cruz docketed under NPS III-09-INQ-19D-00496.
 
PRO3 Regional Director PBGEN JOEL NAPOLEON M CORONEL said that continuous aggressive drive to recover and to seize loose firearms against illegal gun owners is being conducted especially that the gun ban is still very much in effect.

Camp Olivas, City of San Fernando, Pampanga – After fulfilling the requirements of the Proficiency Stage of the PNP’s Peace and Order Agenda for Transformation and Upholding the Rule of Law (P.A.T.R.O.L.) Plan 2030, all of Nine (9) Provincial/City Police Offices of Police Regional Office 3 were conferred the Gold and Silver Eagle awards. 

PLTGEN CAMILO PANCRATIUS CASCOLAN, Chief of the Directorial Staff and Chairman, Technical Working Group PNP P.A.T.R.O.L Plan 2030 presented the awards to the provincial/city directors during the Conferment ceremony which coincided with the traditional Monday Flag Raising Ceremony held earlier this morning, April 15, 2019 at the PRO3 Parade Ground, Camp Olivas, City of San Fernando, Pampanga.  

Conferred with the Gold Eagle Awards were: Bulacan, Tarlac and Olongapo Police Offices as well as Regional Mobile Force Battalion while Aurora, Bataan, Nueva Ecija, Pampanga, Zambales and Angeles City Police Offices were conferred with Silver Eagle awards.

PRO3 Regional Director PBGEN JOEL NAPOLEON M CORONEL said that the proficiency stage is the third component of the PGS before a PNP unit could get a go-signal to institutionalize all its measures and tools for its transformation program.

“Your awards were only achieved and made possible by the collaborative efforts of every personnel making this transformation a reality for the PNP PRO3. It serves as an inspiration for each of us and I encourage everyone to keep the flame burning as we work together to surpass the challenges of the last stage which is the Institutionalization,” he further added.  

 
Camp Olivas, City of San Fernando, Pampanga –Police Regional Office 3 Regional Director PBGEN JOEL NAPOLEON M CORONEL revealed that the entire Central Luzon police force is all set and remains on its toes to implement the public safety campaign for the entire summer holiday season dubbed " LIGTAS SUMVAC 2019".
 
“I gave directives to all City/Provincial Directors from the different Police Provincial/City Police Offices to ensure the safe and secure travel of motorists and commuters this coming Lenten Season and summer vacation. As a matter of fact, we have already deployed 5,215 personnel region wide on March 25,” the Regional Director said.
 
He further stated that police presence will be intensified through increased foot/mobile patrols and establishment of Police Assistance Desks/Centers (PADs/PACs). Also, road safety marshals are being deployed in convergence points particularly in bus terminals, airport, seaports and recreational areas including highways, main thoroughfares and crime prone areas to ensure maximum police presence. 
 
Moreso, he instructed all commanders to coordinate with local government units (LGUs), non-government organizations (NGOs), and other government entities and volunteer groups in establishing PADs/PACs and in deploying Road Safety Marshalls for a collaborative and unified delivery of public safety services and assistance.
 
PBGEN CORONEL added that criminal elements may take advantage of people converging in places such as beach and other tourist destinations for relaxation and recreation.
 
“I am calling for the cooperation of the public to prevent any crime in the community by providing authorities relevant and timely information through PRO3 hotline 0998-5985330/ 0917- 5562597 and social media (facebook account: www.facebook.com/PoliceRegionalOffice3/ ),” he stated. 
 
"SumVac 2019" will remain in effect from March 25 to June 13, 2019.

Camp Olivas, City of San Fernando, Pampanga- PRO3 Regional Director PBGEN JOEL NAPOLEON M CORONEL said that the first day of campaign period for local candidates in Central Luzon on March 29 was generally peaceful.

"I am glad to note that here in Region 3 no single report relative to the campaign of our local candidates was received by authorities. Our PNP- COMELEC checkpoint operations are very much in effect and we continuously implement our security preparations to ensure that the duration of the campaign and election period will be smooth sailing. We aim for a zero incident this Mid- term elections," PBGEN CORONEL added.

The election period is from January 13, 2019 until June 12, 2019.
