Camp Olivas, City of San Fernando, Pampanga – PRO3 Regional Director PBGEN RHODEL O SERMONIA said that all Central Luzon residents are now required to wear face masks or other protective gears when leaving their homes to buy essential commodities.

PBGEN SERMONIA also said that this directive is being carried out pursuant to the pronouncement of Pres Duterte and Resolution No. 18 of the Inter-Agency Task Force on the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF).

“We enjoin the public to adhere to the guidelines on the wearing of face masks and protective gears as well as the observance of Social Distancing. Stiff penalties of one to six months of imprisonment or a fine of Php 20,000 to Php 50,000, or both will be imposed to violators,” PBGEN SERMONIA stated.

“We are doing the best we can together with all the frontliners to contain the continuous spread of COVID-19, time and again, we call out to the public to also do their share by following authorities and staying at their homes,” PBGEN SERMONIA added.

Yesterday, a total of 1001 persons region wide were warned by authorities for non-wearing of face masks.    

CAMP OLIVAS, City of San Fernando, Pampanga- Three (3) notorious drug peddlers were arrested by police authorities, yesterday (April 15) in Baliuag, Bulacan.


Operatives of the Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit conducted buy bust operation at No. 6 JP Rizal St. Sta. Barbara Baliuag Bulacan which resulted in the arrest of Edmond OCAMPO y San Pedro, resident of Brgy. San Lorenzo Norzagaray Bulacan; Priscila JUMAQUIO y Medina, resident of Brgy. San Pedro Hagonoy Bulacan and Celenita OCAMPO y Geronimo, resident of no. 6 JP Rizal St. Sta Barbara Baliuag Bulacan.

Confiscated from the trio were the following: 4 pieces of medium size heat sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected SHABU; 1 piece large size heat sealed transparent plastic sachet containing suspected shabu, all weighing more or less 45 grams; Php 1000 marked money; 3 pieces 1000 peso bill boodle money and 1 Apple touch screen cellphone.

Appropriate charges for violations of Section 5 and 11 R.A. 9165 are being filed against the arrested suspects.

PRO3 Regional Director PBGEN RHODEL O SERMONIA said that Central Luzon cops will continue its unwavering efforts to eradicate all forms of illegal drugs within the region while re-invigorating its anti-criminality campaigns at the same time.

Camp Olivas, City of San Fernando, Pampanga- With less than 3 weeks after its launching, the Adopt a Family Program of Police Regional Office 3 has already provided assistance for 2,464 families with 10,886 family members regionwide.
PBGEN RHODEL O SERMONIA said that the Adopt a Family program aims to help families who are most in need and supply them with their basic food commodities during this Enhanced Community Quarantine period.


"We are sending strong message to the public, particularly our Region 3 community, that indeed, their police, are part of their families who are providing them with support and hope especially these trying times. This is also a good way to prevent incidents of looting and burglary because of the "no work, no pay" situation and constraint public movement," PBGEN SERMONIA added.

Relatedly, since the start of the Enhanced Community Quarantine last March 17, only 4 robbery incidents in major establishments were recorded in Bulacan, Nueva Ecija and Pampanga.

            CAMP OLIVAS, CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, PAMPANGA--- PRO3 Regional Director PBGEN RHODEL O SERMONIA said that police authorities were able to arrest nine (9) persons during the anti-illegal drugs operations conducted in the region over the weekend. 

            Bulacan police were able to arrest the following persons: JR LUGTU y Candelaria alias Bubuy, included in the PNP-PDEA Unified Watchlist and a resident of Lopez Jaena Brgy Sto. Cristo Baliwag, Bulacan in possession of four (4) heat sealed transparent plastic sachets of suspected shabu and Php 500 marked money;John Paulo SILVANO, resident of   No. 31, Tanguille St. Pleasant Hills, Phase 6, Brgy. San Manuel, CSJDM, Bulacan; Leo OCAMPO JR y Briones, SK Kagawad, resident of Blk.4, Lot 19, Korint St. Pleasant Hills, Brgy. San Manuel, CSJDM, Bulacan; and Maricris SILVANO y Belgara, resident of 32 Tanguille St., Pleasant Hills Subd., Brgy. San Manuel, CSJDM, Bulacan with 6 transparent plastic sachets containing suspected dried and Php 400 marked money.

            In Nueva Ecija, police operatives arrested Jayvee BORNILLA y Lopez, resident of Brgy. Don Mariano Marcos, Jaen, Nueva Ecija in possession of 2 pieces heat sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu; Sherwin ELEAZAR y Velasquez,resident of Brgy. Dampulan, Jaen, Nueva Ecija with 4 heat sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu and Php 1,000.00 marked money; Ronaldo DASALLA y Velasco aka Onad and Francisco DASALLA y Velasco, both residents of Purok 2, Brgy Imelda, Cabanatuan City with 4 pieces heat sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu and Php 500 marked money.

            Pampanga police operatives were able to arrest: Vincent MORALES y Castillo, @ Cheng-Cheng, ranked No.9 in the PDEA target list (Provincial Level) and presently residing at Pandaguirig, Floridablanca, Pampanga in possession of 15 pieces of heat sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu, Php 1,000 marked money and 1 Llama Parabellum Cal. 9mm pistol with 12 live ammunition.

            “This only goes to show that we are not having any let-up in our anti-criminality operations despite our enormous tasks in the implementation of the Enhanced Community Quarantine. We will keep on conducting operations in the coming days and we are serious in attaining our vision of drug-free communities,” PBGEN SERMONIA added.

Camp Olivas, City of San Fernando, Pampanga- Recognizing the sacrifices of their fellow frontliners in containing COVID-19, particularly the health workers, the entire Central Luzon police force gathered in front of the different hospitals regionwide, rendered their snappiest salutes and offered songs and prayers as well as distributed Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to their colleagues in the frontline on Friday.


PBGEN RHODEL O SERMONIA said that this activity is PRO3’s way of showing their gratitude and appreciation to health workers who are considered modern day heroes who continue to perform their duties amidst the dangers they are facing every day which is also in line with PNP Chief PGEN ARCHIE GAMBOA's directive to highlight the efforts and help the frontliners.


“We salute our doctors, nurses, medical staff and all members of the health sector who just like us, keep on doing their jobs even if they are at risks of being inflicted with the virus. This is our simple way of uplifting and boosting their morals and making them feel that their sacrifices are not left unnoticed,” PBGEN SERMONIA added.
