CAMP OLIVAS, CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, PAMPANGA- Amidst the pandemic, with the Yuletide Season just around the corner, Police Regional Office 3 Director PBGEN VALERIANO T DE LEON, led the Ceremonial Lighting of “PRO3’s Christmas Tree, the police’s simple idea in the spirit of Christmas in the evening of December 7, 2020 with City of San Fernando Mayor Edwin Santiago as the Guest of Honor.

Decorated with colorful Christmas lights made of Capiz, the thirty-seven (37) foot PRO3 Christmas tree is the PRO3 leadership’s gesture of gratitude to the Almighty that the entire region is spared from the series of natural disasters that hit the country as well as being grateful that the men and women of PRO3 for having hurdled the obstacles that came their way, both in the workplace and personal lives.

 “As we light our tree, we, at the same time reflect on the real meaning of Christmas which is to follow the examples of Christ who was born in a stable and grew up to become a leader with a servant’s heart who taught us a message as simple as it is powerful: that we should love God, and love our neighbour as ourselves," PBGEN DE LEON said in his message.

The activity was also highlighted by the demonstration of Silent drill skills of the Regional Mobile Force personnel and fireworks display. (PIO-3)

Camp Olivas, City of San Fernando, Pampanga- PRO3 Regional Director PBGEN VALERIANO T DE LEON visited the wounded operative of San Jose City Police Station, PCpl Mark Joseph Tangonan, on Sunday night, December 6 in the hospital to personally pin the Medalya ng Sugatang Magiting (PNP Wounded Medal) and hand him financial assistance.

PBGEN DE LEON lauded PCpl Tangonan for his exemplar performance during a buy-bust operation turned shootout early Sunday at Brgy. Sto. Niño 1st, San Jose City, Nueva Ecija which resulted in the deaths of Brian Leonile DRIS y Valdez, listed Top 3 - Regional Level in PROCOR's list of Drug Personalities and Hymer LEUNG y Cornel, top listed drug personality in Baguio City while their unidentifed cohort managed to elude arrest.

" I commend our operatives for the series of accomplishments on illegal drugs even if we are put in harm's way. It only proves our commitment to stop the proliferation of this menace. We always remind our men to be safe,” PBGEN DE LEON added. (PIO-3)

CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga — PRO3 head PBGEN VALERIANO T DE LEON reiterated to Central Luzon police the "No take policy" in all illegal activities and warned of drastic action against any of his personnel or any individual who will use his name to benefit from illegal sources and illegal gambling operations.

PBGEN DE LEON said that the PRO3 command is maximizing its efforts to quash all illegal activities especially gambling and illegal numbers game in the region as mandated by the Philippine National Police (PNP) and in line with the guidelines of Chief PNP PGEN DEBOLD M SINAS.

" Under my watch, I will not tolerate any of my personnel who will be involved in any form of illegal activity particularly in receiving bribes from illegal gambling and other illegal activities. Also, I never allow somebody to use my name for them to operate their illegal business or to collect for me. Whoever would dare use my name will be arrested immediately," PBGEN DE LEON added.

PRO3 continues to mount full-scale operations against illegal gambling and strictly imposes the full force of the law as it steps up on its campaign against all forms of lawlessness to minimize criminality in every locality. (PIO-3)

CAMP OLIVAS, City of San Fernando, Pampanga- Thirty-six (36) brand new Toyota Hi-Lux (4x2 Single Cab) and one (1) bus from the PNP Directorate for Logistics were received by Police Regional Office 3 in line with the PNP’s Capability Enhancement.

The Blessing and Turn-Over Ceremony of said automobiles was held at the PRO3 Parade Ground, Camp Captain Julian Olivas, City San Fernando, Pampanga earlier this morning (December 2) wherein the recipients are Bulacan, Nueva Ecija, Pampanga, Tarlac and Zambales Provincial Police Offices.

PRO3 Regional Director PRO3 PBGEN VALERIANO T DE LEON said that the procurement of these vehicles is very timely since several proactive anti- criminality campaigns of PRO3 are very much in effect and round the clock conduct of anti-criminality checkpoints and mobile patrolling are sternly carried out.

“With this additional mobility, more positive accomplishments will be achieved in the coming days and the public can expect the PNP-PRO3 to respond better to incidents. The delivery of our police services will be more effective and efficient from all corners of the region,” PBGEN DE LEON further stated. The PRO3 Head also gave directives to detail two dedicated drivers for the patrol vehicles.

Camp Olivas, City of San Fernando, Pampanga- PRO3 Regional Head PBGEN VALERIANO T DE LEON reiterated to all his personnel the guidance of the C, PNP PGEN DEBOLD  SINAS particularly on the  “No Take Policy” of the PNP on all forms of lawlessness most particularly illegal gambling and illegal drugs.

PBGEN DE LEON said that he expects and hopes that all unit commanders would see to it that the guidelines of the C,PNP is fully understood and learned by heart  by their personnel down to the lowest rank since all have already submitted their Certifications affirming of their understanding and adherence to the guidelines.

“I am calling out all police unit commanders to take this as an opportunity to enforce the law and intensify the campaign against corruption and all forms of lawlessness especially crimes against public morals, such as illegal gambling as our support to the directives of President Duterte and PGEN SINAS,” PBGEN DE LEON furthered.

The top cop also emphasized on revitalizing the internal cleansing program of the PNP by punishing all PNP personnel involved in illegal activities and rewarding those who act towards maintaining the good image of the organization.

Meanwhile, PBGEN DE LEON checked all offices within the regional headquarters to ensure that all units are strictly adhering to the standard health protocols for workplace to contain the spread of COVID-19 in the police force. He also inspected the quarantine facilities of PRO3 which is also in line with the directives of PGEN SINAS.

To date there are a total of 443 PRO3 personnel tested positive for COVID-19 with 21 active cases  while 422 have recovered. (PIO-3)
