Camp Olivas, City of San Fernando, Pampanga—To keep Central Luzon cops maintain a healthy lifestyle and to be physically fit while performing their duties , Police Regional Office 3 under the leadership of PBGEN VALERIANO T DE LEON revived the “Pulisteniks” program (also known as Police Calisthenics).

On Tuesday, both uniformed and non-uniformed personnel of PRO3 participated in the 1-hour Zumba and Taebo exercises which is also in line with the guidelines of PNP Chief PGEN DEBOLD M SINAS.

Pulisteniks which is scheduled every Tuesday and Thursday is the upgraded version of Pulis Hataw, which requires the basic physical activities like running, walk-jog, biking, and zumba that aims to improve the physical, mental, and morale states of PNP personnel.

“Physical fitness is both an individual and organizational responsibility, and every PNP personnel should be physically fit in order to effectively deliver the best police service,” PBGEN DE LEON said. (PIO-3)

Camp Olivas, City of San Fernando, Pampanga – As immediate response to the call of PNP Chief PGEN DEBOLD M SINAS to help especially in times of crisis, PBGEN VALERIANO T DE LEON, RD, PRO3 heads the humanitarian drive of Police Regional Office 3 in an effort to deliver PNP relief goods for the victims of Typhoon Ulysses.

PBGEN DE LEON recognized the crucial need of providing assistance to his fellow Cagayanos who greatly suffered from severe flooding brought about by the opening of Magat Dam spillway gate due to the typhoon. “Despite being struck by the recent typhoons Rolly and Ulysses, Central Luzon is still blessed for not being hit the hardest, this is the best time to extend our help and our provision of services to needy communities is expected,” PBGEN DE LEON said.

The top cop of Region 3 also expressed his appreciation to his personnel for their willingness to respond to their social and moral obligations to the society at all times.

PRO3 personnel are currently packing relief goods composed of basic commodities which will be sent to Police Regional Office 2, particularly in Cagayan Valley.

Camp Olivas, City of San Fernando, Pampanga- Police in Central Luzon continue to carry out disaster response operations as Typhoon Ulysses remains in Central Luzon, Thursday night (November 12). In his report to Chief PNP PGEN DEBOLD M SINAS, PRO3 Regional Director VALERIANO T DE LEON said that he gave directives to all commanders to implement previous measures which were observed during the recent Typhoon Rolly including all guidelines under the PNP Critical Incident Management Operational Procedures (CIMOP).

The top cop also made the rounds to inspect police units on their preparedness measures and actions being undertaken as typhoon Ulysses hits Central Luzon and to oversee the situation of areas which are being hardly hit by the ongoing typhoon as well as the condition of all personnel deployed for response operations wherein 1,073 personnel are currently deployed for SAR operations while 1,477 are on standby, ready on call and 619 personnel composed the PRO3 RSSF with more or less 4000 SAR equipment are being utilized. The Regional Mobile Force Battalion 3 were also instructed to conduct forward deployment in order to readily respond to any eventuality brought by the typhoon.

Meanwhile, all provincial and city directors of PRO3 rendered their reports to PBGEN DE LEON on the current situation of their respective areas of jurisdiction, search and rescue efforts including clearing operations and relief distribution.

Based on combined reports from all police units of Region 3 and Office of the Civil Defense-Region 3, a total of 9550 families composed of 41,705 individuals are temporarily sheltered at the 1,039 evacuation centers region wide, 3 infrastructures are damaged in Bulacan, 202 barangays are submerged in floodwaters in the provinces of Bulacan, Bataan, Nueva Ecija, Pampanga and Zambales while 64 towns in Aurora, Bataan, Bulacan, Pampanga, Tarlac and Zambales have no electricity, 18 main roads in Aurora, Pampanga and Tarlac are impassable to vehicles while 23,469 individuals were rescued.

PBGEN DE LEON added that in line with the Bayanihan spirit, PRO3 is working closely with local government units, partner agencies and stakeholders for the rehabilitation and rebuilding of hard-hit areas in Central Luzon brought about by Typhoon Ulysses.   

Camp Olivas, City of San Fernando, Pampanga- A long serving cop was shot dead on Saturday, November 14 in Bustos, Bulacan.

Investigation revealed that PCpl Abdulsamat Saipuddin y Tumpilan, 46 years old, a bonafide member of Philippine National Police and presently assigned at Angat Police Station, Angat, Bulacan while onboard his driven red Toyota Innova traversing Bonga Menor, Bustos, Bulacan was killed on the spot by unidentified suspects wearning bonnets armed with M16 rifle, caliber 9mm and caliber 45 on board a gray Honda Civic sedan without plate number and Two (2) Yamaha NMAX motorcycles.

PBGEN VALERIANO T DE LEON expressed his sympathy to the bereaved family of PCpl Saipuddin.

"A murder investigation is under way and I have ordered our officers to conduct a deeper probe on the killing of our comrade," PBGEN DE LEON added.

 Camp Olivas, City of San Fernando, Pampanga- The Public Safety Savings Loan Association Incorporated (PSSLAI) has bolstered the defenses of Police Regional Office 3 against the coronavirus with a donation of more than a million worth of masks and other personal protective equipment.

On Monday ( November 9), MAJGEN LUCAS MANAGUELOD (Ret), Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of PSSLAI personally handed over to the top cop of Central Luzon, PBGEN VALERIANO T DE LEON the 55,556 N95 face masks and PPEs during the traditional Flag raising ceremony at the PRO3 Parade Ground, Camp Olivas, City of San Fernando, Pampanga.

Ret MAJGEN MANAGUELOD said that the donation “is one more demonstration of our commitment to work together with the PNP to overcome the Covid-19 global pandemic and builds on our long tradition of outstanding cooperation with the police."

PBGEN DE LEON thanked Ret MAJGEN MANAGUELOD and added that the donation “constitutes an active recognition of the continuing efforts made by our personnel during this difficult time which has been caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.”
