Camp Olivas, City of Sa Fernando, Pampanga--- A barangay tanod was arrested by authorities after being involved in a stabbing incident in Mexico, Pampanga on Tuesday, April 27.

PRO3 Regional Director PBGEN VALERIANO T DE LEON identifiied the suspect as Russel PANTE y De Guzman, 47 years old, married, Brgy Tanod and a resident of Barangay San Patricio, Mexico, Pampanga.

Initial investigation revealed that at around 6 PM of same date, PANTE and the victim identified as Eliazar GUIAO y Vercasion, 40 years old, married, farmer and a resident of Brgy San Patricio, Mexico, Pampanga had a heated argument due to traffic queuing in Brgy San Patricio (Sitio Minangun) which resulted in the stabbing incident.

GUIAO was then brought at the nearest hospital while PANTE was arrested by responding bantay bayan of Barangay San Patricio and immediately turned over to Mexico police.

A case for Frustrated Murder is being prepared for filing in court against PANTE.
