CAMP OLIVAS, City of San Fernando, Pampanga- Police Regional Office 3 under the leadership of PCSUPT AMADOR V COPRUS, RD,PRO3 celebrates its 27th Foundation Day which coincided with the Traditional Monday Flag Raising Ceremony followed by a Wreath Laying Ceremony at the PRO3 Heroes monument and the Blessing of the newly- renovated PRO3 Post Gymnasium held on February 19, 2018 at the Camp Julian Olivas, City of San Fernando, Pampanga wherein Pampanga Governor Hon Lilia “Nanay” Pineda was the Guest of Honor and Speaker.
Gov Pineda, who arrived together with her son, Pampanga Vice-Gov. Dennis “Delta” Pineda, and Rep. Karlo Alexie B. Nograles (Davao City – 1st District) was welcomed with a company-sized arrival honors.
The program was highlighted with the turn-over of vehicles donated by Pampanga provincial government to concerned police units in Central Luzon. The PNP-Criminal Investigation and Detection Group in Central Luzon led by PSUPT LITO E PATAY and PNP Aviation and Security Group under its Director, PCSUPT DIONARDO B CARLOS. Meanwhile, the patrol cars received by Pampanga Police Provincial Office were intended for Pampanga SWAT and Provincial Mobile Force.
Forty (40) deserving PNP personnel who have contributed vastly to the upliftment of PNP, PRO3 in particular were given awards including PCSUPT ELMER C BANTOG, PRO3 Deputy Regional Director for Administration, PSSUPT RONALD L LLANERA, PRO3 Deputy Regional Director for Operations, PSSUPT ROMMIL M MITRA, PRO3 Regional Directorial Staff and PSSUPT ROLLY R MENDOZA, Chief of the Regional Headquarters and Support Group.
Gov. Pineda also led the distribution of financial assistance to the families of PNP personnel who died in line of duty. The assistance in the form of checks and cash was received by the five widows and orphans of policemen who died while performing their sworn duties. The beneficiaries are Mrs Consuelo Gatchalian, Mrs Honesty Mendoza, Mrs Lorena Largo, Mrs Joan Franciso and Mrs Mariquita Cortez.
During her brief speech, Gov. Pineda expressed her utmost gratitude to the entire Central Luzon police for making the region, particularly the province of Pampanga, peaceful and orderly.
She also assures the police that her office is open and willing to extend additional assistance to the police organization in the region.
For his part, PCSUPT CORPUS extended his deepest gratitude and was thankful for the governor’s effort in extending assistance to the police.
The PNP since its establishment in 1991 has come a long way as a prime member of DILG and has been leading in maintaining peace and order in the society. It has also been a partner in good governance as it ventures in transforming the organization into professionalized cops
