MOBILE FORCE OFFICERS BUY CENTENARIAN BIRTHDAY CAKE

Camp Olivas, City of San Fernando, Pampanga- A centenarian received the surprise of her life as police officers of the 302nd Maneuver Company Regional Mobile Force Battalion 3 bought her birthday cake for her 103rd birthday on August 16, 2018.

PO2 Alberto Reyes together with his buddies was conducting foot patrol inside Clarkfield, Pampanga when they saw Lola Rosa who was collecting garbage for her living. The police officers approached her and as they chit-chatted, Lola Rosa told them that she hailed from Leyte and is now  alone living in a shanty inside Marcos Village, Mabalacat City Pampanga. It was also her 103rd birthday that same day.

PO2 Reyes with his fellows clearly could not let that pass and went to her shanty to surprise her with a birthday cake. They also gave her some rice and food.

Lola Rosa was so happy to get her birthday cake and could not thank the kind hearted police officers enough.

The police officers are now coordinating with the proper agency to determine if Lola Rosa can qualify to receive the cash grant given by the government to all centenarians since Lola Rosa has no copy of her birth certificate.

“I am proud of our police officers. This genuine act of kindness they have shown to our elderly only proves that your PNP are not here only to serve and protect but also to care and bring happiness in our own little way,” PRO3 Regional Director PCSUPT AMADOR CORPUS said.

PRO3 JOINS 3rd NATIONWIDE EARTHQUAKE DRILL

CAMP OLIVAS, City of San Fernando, Pampanga- As part of its continuing efforts to address natural disasters and calamities, Police Regional Office 3 joins in the conduct of the 3rd Nationwide Earthquake Drill held in the afternoon of August 16, 2018.

PRO3 Regional Director PCSUPT AMADOR CORPUS said that the earthquake drill/simulation is a quarterly exercise designed for the awareness, preparedness and readiness of PRO3 PNP personnel and other employees inside the camp during an actual earthquake.

The important part of the drill is to understand that when there is an earthquake it is safest to drop to the ground, find cover and hold on. The activity started by a one minute blowing of siren, wherein all PNP personnel and other employees inside their respective offices drop on the floor, find cover under their tables and hold on to it. Afterwards, all participants went outside, with both hands covering their heads since they could be battered with falling objects,  walked in a single file and proceeded at the designated evacuation area which is the Parade Ground located infront of the Admin Building solemnly. This must be done so as not to cause panic while an earthquake takes place.

More or less five hundred (500) PNP personnel and other employees inside the camp participated in the drill. Personnel from the Bureau of Fire Protection also participated in said activity.
