CAMP OLIVAS, City of San Fernando, Pampanga-Police Regional Office 3 under the leadership of PCSUPT RAUL D PETRASANTA, Regional Director joins the Department of Interior and Local Government in the observation of this year’s 20thNational Crime Prevention Week with a theme “Krimen ay Labanan, Karapatan ay Igalang Tungo sa Mapayapang Pamayanan”.

        The simplekick-off ceremony on September 1, 2014 which was highlighted by the “Pito Laban sa Krimen” orwhistle blowingcoincided with the Monday Flagraising Ceremony and the Retirement Honors given for PSSUPT ALMA MARGARITA D VILLASEÑOR, Chief, Regional Crime Laboratory Office 3.
         Various activities such as the Filipino essay writing contest for secondary students and series of forums in state colleges and universities shall highlight the observance of the landmark 20th National Crime Prevention Week (NCPW) in the region.
            Consequently, PCSUPT PETRASANTA said that the NCPW serves as the vehicle for the national and local government to partner with the community in its fight against crime.
            TheNational Crime Prevention Week with the Department of the Interior and Local Government as its lead agency, is being held annually from September 1-7 andwas conceived thru Proclamation No.461 of former President Fidel Ramos with the intention to generate community awareness and appreciation of the importance and value of crime prevention as well as to foster interest and participation of the general public.
