CAMP OLIVAS, CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, PAMPANGA.--- As its final preparations to ensure the success of the 11th ASEAN Defense Ministers Meeting (ADMM), PRO3 TG “Clark” held a two- day contingency planning at the Airforce Officer’s Club, Clarkfield, Pampanga from October 10-11, 2017 to test the security preparations, operational readiness and adequacy of resources for said event

             PRO3 Director PCSUPT AMADOR V CORPUS said that “Contingency Planning is very important and are being done specifically for major events because failing to plan means planning to fail. Through this contingency planning, the availability of financial, human and material resources is ensured.”

                         

Practical exercises were done by members of the TG “Clark” in order for them to be ready for unexpected events.

Prior to this, two (2) consecutive Convoy Travel Dry Runs were already conducted by PNP PRO3 along Clark/SCTEX/NLEX as part of the tight security preparations being undertaken.

            Meanwhile, as early as October 20, 2017 PNP personnel will already be deployed within the summit venues and areas where the delegates will be billeted to ensure their safety and security.

CAMP OLIVAS, CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, PAMPANGA- The entire Central Luzon Police Force is currently placed on full alert status in time for the National Day of Protest, today, September 21.
 
“The full alert status was raised last night (September 20) and I have directed all unit commanders within Region 3 to strengthen target hardening on all vital installations, economic key points as well as places of convergences and ensure high state of operational readiness to thwart any hostile action that may be launched by terror groups. Also, all passes of PNP personnel are cancelled and they are directed to remain intact in their respective units since strict accounting of personnel is being conducted,” PRO3 Regional Director PCSUPT AMADOR V CORPUS said.
 
“We also have our augmentation forces on standby and ready on call in case the National Headquarters needs additional troops for Civil Disturbance Management (CDM) operation in Manila,” he further stated.
 
Consequently, while on full alert status, PRO3 personnel from the different units inside Camp Olivas armed themselves with brooms, rakes and other cleaning tools to clean the camp surroundings.

          Camp Olivas, City of San Fernando, Pampanga--- With the directives of PCSUPT AMADOR CORPUS to stop illegal gambling in the region, police authorities arrested seven (7) persons and confiscated several illegal gambling paraphernalia including collection money in Nueva Ecija, Bulacan and Pampanga, over the weekend.

            Operatives of Cabanatuan CPS conducted series of anti-illegal gambling operations in Barangays Super Market, General Luna and Camp Tinio in Cabanatuan City, Nueva Ecija yesterday (September 17) which led to the arrest of following suspects and seizure of corresponding illegal gambling paraphernalia: Bolex CASTILLO y Rivera, 50 y/o, married, resident of Brgy. Camp Tinio, Brgy. Tinio, Cabanatuan City (seized were cash bet amounting to Php311.25, boraka, papelitos and ballpen); Emilio CORPORAL y Correo, 49 y/o, married, resident of Brgy. Gen. Luna, Cabanatuan City (seized were cash bet amounting to Php290.00, notebook, boraka, papelitos and ballpen); Joven ANTONIO y Causon, 34 y/o, married, resident of Purok Casiong, Brgy. Bangad, Cabanatuan City and Ruben PADILLA y Esguerra, 25 y/o, single, resident of Brgy. Liwayway Sta Rosa, Nueva Ecija (seized were cash bet amounting to Php3,100.00, stapler, boraka, papelitos and ballpen). All suspects were caught in the act of collecting bets for illegal number games known as jueteng/bookies.

            Meanwhile, San Ildefonso police operatives conducted anti-illegal gambling operation in Brgy. Matimbubong, San Ildefonso, Bulacan which resulted to the arrest of Leonora BERNARDO y Silvestre, 68 y/o, married and resident of said place who was caught in the act of collecting bets for illegal number games known as jueteng/bookies. Confiscated from BERNARDO’s possession were cash bet amounting to Php260.00, three (3) bundle papelitos, stapler and two (2) ballpens.      

Relatedly, Mexico police operatives conducted anti-illegal gambling operation in Brgy. Divisoria, Mexico, Pampanga which resulted to the arrest of Jocelyn COLIS y Makabali, 49 y/o, married and resident of said place who was caught in the act of collecting bets for illegal number games known as jueteng/bookies. Confiscated from COLIS’ possession were cash bet amounting to Php322.00, three (3) bundle papelitos, salida bola and ballpen.

          

           Camp Olivas, City of San Fernando, Pampanga---Police authorities, yesterday (September 18), arrested Eight (8) suspects and confiscated illegal drugs in a series of anti-illegal drugs operations launched in Pampanga, Angeles City and Bulacan.

            Operatives of City of San Fernando PS conducted buy-bust operation in Looban, Brgy. Dolores, City of San Fernando, Pampanga which resulted to the arrest of Joemer PAGADUAN y Songco, 37 y/o, married, jobless, resident of said place and seizure of five (5) heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu with street value of Php2,500.00, one (1) heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing suspected dried marijuana leaves and  marked money.

            Also, personnel of Pampanga Provincial Intelligence Branch, Provincial Public Safety Company and Guagua MPS conducted joint buy-bust operation in Brgy. Sta. Ines, Guagua, Pampanga which resulted to the arrest of Jay DAVID y Bucao and seizure of fourteen (14) heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu and the marked money.

            Meanwhile, operating team of Police Station 3 of Angeles City Police Office, conducted buy-bust operation in Brgy. Salapungan, Angeles City which led to the arrest of Ernesto SUPAN y Pineda, Aries ESTABILLO y Mandarique and Ronell PINGUL y Garcia. Confiscated from their possession were twelve (12) heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu and the marked money.

            Similarly, operatives of City of San Jose Del Monte PS conducted buy-bust operation in Brgy. Minuyan Proper, CSJDM, Bulacan which resulted to the arrest of Paterno ERESO y Navarro a.k.a. Putot and Joel CELESTIAL y Dy. Confiscated from their possession were thirteen (13) heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu weighing 5g with street value of Php22,500.00, assorted illegal drugs paraphernalia and the marked money.

            “As we continue to wage our all-out war against illegal drugs, more operations will be continuously launched and we will not stop until Region 3 is drug-free,” PRO3 Regional Director PCSUPT AMADOR V CORPUS remarked.

     The PNP observes a policy of rational transparency in all police activities, and of upholding the right of the people to be informed on matters of public interest, Carlos said. “If there is an on-going follow-up operation and investigation on the incident, some information may not be accessible to the media as it may compromise the results of ongoing operation and investigation”, Carlos explained.

    The PNP Spokesperson also emphasized the importance of Freedom of Information for the sake of transparency and accountability. For instance, the members of media may have to prepare requests in order to access police reports, he said.

This is a safeguard to guarantee that official information is released only to responsible persons for a reasonable and lawful purpose.
