CAMP OLIVAS, CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, PAMPANGA- On its aggressive campaign to eradicate the proliferation of illegal drugs in the region, Police Regional Office 3 once again scored anew as another notorious drug pusher was arrested and confiscated from his possession were several pieces of illegal drugs.

           

            On January 22, 2014, at about 3:30 in the morning, elements of the Regional Anti-Illegal Drug Special Operation Task Group conducted buy-bust operation in the vicinity of R8 Brgy. Maimpis, City of San Fernando, Pampanga that resulted in the arrest of Ariel MAGPANTAY y Saide, jobless and a resident of said place.

           MAGPANTAY was arrested after selling one (1)small heat sealed transparent plastic sachet of methamphetamine hydrochloride otherwise known as “shabu” to an informant who acted as poseur buyer.

           Confiscated from MAGPANTAY’S possession were five (5) more small heat sealed transparent plastic sachet of methamphetamine hydrochloride otherwise known as “shabu”.

                Also arrested during said operation were the following: Elmer MANARANG y Aquino, resident Brgy. Maimpis, City of San Fernando, Pampanga and Christopher AKBHARI y Mohammed, student and a resident St. Bernadeth Heights, Brgy. Del Rosario, City of San Fernando, Pampanga.

     Both were caught inside the house of MAGPANTAY while having pot session.. Seized from their possession were drug paraphernalia.    

           

            A case for Violation of Sec. 5, 11, 12 and 15 of Art. II of RA 9165 was filed against the suspects who are now detained at the Pampanga Provincial Jail.   
     

            PCSUPT PETRASANTA lauded the operating troops for a job well done and further stated that PNP PRO3 is continuously conducting pro-active operations and invigorates its efforts to wipe out all forms of illegal drugs in order to achieve its quest for a drug free Central Luzon.

In line with the Physical Fitness and Sports Development Program of the Philippine National Police to keep its personnel physically fit, Police Regional Office 3 under the leadership of PCSUPT RAUL D PETRASANTA, RD, PRO3 joined in the re-launching of Pulis “Hataw Na” Program which was simultaneously done nationwide among the different Police Regional and Provincial Offices, down to the Municipal Police Stations on January 11, 2014.

           

            The physical fitness and sports development program which was held at the PRO3 Parade Ground started at 6 a.m. Included in the activities were 30-minute Zumba, three-kilometer walk, five-kilometer Fun Run and 10-kilometer Biking.

 

            PCSUPT PETRASANTA said that the revitalized fitness and sports development program of the PNP is aimed at instilling discipline to its PNP personnel in order for them to maintain a healthy lifestyle and also seeks to improve and set the general physical well-being of the police personnel.

 

            He further said that PRO3 PNP personnel will devote their Saturday mornings to the Pulis “Hataw Na”.
