Camp Olivas, City of San Fernando, Pampanga- A seminar that instills DOH protocols and other necessary information to the community is currently rolling at Police Regional Offiice 3, Camp Olivas, City of San Fernando, Pampanga.

Dubbed as the Coronavirus Awareness Response and Empowerment (CARE) Infodemic Drive, the two- day seminar is from January 8 to 9, 2021.

CARE is a series of socio-civic activities which aim to attain maximum information dissemination.

Coronavirus Awareness Response and Empowerment (CARE) Infodemic Drive was envisioned to help in the fight against Corona Virus 19 through conveyance of its origin, symptoms, complications, mode of transmission, prevention and help dispel misinformation about COVID-19.

Facilitated by the Police Community Affairs and Development Group and the Regional Community Affairs and Development Division under PLTCOL ROMELL VELASCO, the seminar has a total of 66 participants coming from the different provincial/city police offices and Regional Mobile Force Battalion.

PRO3 Regional Director PBGEN VALERIANO T DE LEON graced the opening ceremony and extended his appreciation to the PCADG under PBGEN ERIC NOBLE for coming on board and for bringing CARE to PRO3.

"We are more than 10 months into the Covid-19 pandemic and, sadly, infections and deaths are still accelerating in many parts of the world and even here in our country at the same time, the covid-19 pandemic is just a reminder about the huge problem of misinformation, disinformation and digital hoaxes which can create confusion and distrust and undermine an effective public health response. The most important factor in preventing the spread of the Covid-19 is to empower the people with the right information.

PBGEN DE LEON further instructed the participants to cascade what they have learned to their colleagues when they go back to their respective units. (PIO-3)
