Camp Olivas, City of San Fernando, Pampanga- Members of the PNP PRO3, KKDAT and Bulacan Governor Daniel Fernando’s civic organization Damayang Filipino Movement Inc. (DFMI) went beyond their way to give parents and youth from far flung communities in the town of Norzagaray the opportunity to improve their lives thru a livelihood training and seminar on peace held at Brgy. Matictic, Norzagaray on March 19, 2021, 2:00 PM.
About 40 participants who came from various barangays joined the Seminar on Peace, Leadership and Community Development and the Livelihood Training Program organized by Bulacan Governor Daniel Fernando’s civic organization Damayang Filipino Movement Inc. (DFMI) in partnership with PNP and Kabataan Kontra Droga at Terorismo (KKDAT). KKDAT Region 3 Adviser and Damayang Filipino Kabataan Chairperson Jose Mari M. Garcia and DFMI Chairperson Wilfredo V. Santiago facilitated the discussions that steered the youths away from communist terrorist groups and helped the parents rise from poverty.
Under the guidance of PBGEN VALERIANO T DE LEON, Regional Director of Police Regional Office 3, PLT JUN M TOLENTINO from Regional Community Affairs and Development Division and PLT GEEJAY C CRUZ, 4th Platoon Leader of 2nd Bulacan Provincial Mobile Force Company, disseminated IEC materials and encouraged the young volunteers to support peace efforts. Present in the activities were Ms. Honey Flores, executive assistant from the Provincial Government of Bulacan, barangay officials, and DFMI facilitators and coordinators.
PBGEN DE LEON said that "these activities which are in line with Ending Local Communist Armed Conflict (ELCAC) advocacy are also in support to President Duterte's stand against terrorism, Bulacan Governor Daniel Fernando's program Damayang Filipino and PNP's advocacy: Kakampi Mo Laban sa Pandemya, Ilegal na Droga, Kurapsyon, at Terorismo."
