Camp Olivas, City of San Fernando, Pampanga- As the rising cases of CoVid 19 hit the Central Luzon police force, PRO3 head PBGEN VALERIANO T DE LEON on Saturday, reiterates the basic measures to prevent transmission of COVID-19 and orders the daily disinfection of all offices and police units regionwide.

PBGEN DE LEON said that this directive is in consonance with the guidance of PNP Chief PGEN DEBOLD M SINAS and IATF protocol in the prevention of the spread of the new strain of Covid 19.

He reminded all PRO3 personnel of frequent hand-washing or disinfection with alcohol based hand sanitizer, respiratory hygiene such as covering coughs, physical distancing of at least 1 metre or more and wearing of face masks and face shields. Gatherings and events are also prohibited while seminars, conferences and the likes are done virtually.

"We always say "Prevention is better than cure", this is why we have to maximize our efforts in finding ways and means to fight this invisible foe as we cannot afford to lose to Covid-19," PBGEN DE LEON added.

PRO3 has a total of 102 new active cases which is an upsurge in the previous months. (PIO-3)

Camp Olivas, City of San Fernando, Pampanga — PRO3 Regional Director PBGEN VALERIANO T DE LEON, on Saturday, said that 102 PRO3 personnel regionwide have contracted the disease and tested positive.

The Central Luzon police head  also said that all personnel who have tested positive are now placed on strict quarantine and monitoring and are immediately transferred to the  quarantine facilities.

PBGEN DE LEON stated that precautionary measures are being undertaken amid the increasing number of CoVid 19 cases such as limited number of visitors entering Camp Olivas for official business and prohibition of personal visits.

Gatherings and events are also prohibited while seminars, conferences and the likes are done virtually.

Moreover, a new work scheme for non-uniformed personnel, immuno-compromised and those with comorbidities have been arranged.

"While we are still waiting for the vaccines, I constantly remind our personnel especially those manning the checkpoints and are more exposed to the virus to take extra measures to protect themselves because with this invisible enemy nobody can protect us except ourselves. If they feel that they have symptoms or have close contact with an infected person, they must immediately submit themselves for testing," PBGEN DE LEON added. (PIO-3)

Camp Olivas, City of San Fernando, Pampanga- Police Regional Office 3 joined the entire Catholic Church in the celebration of the 500th anniversary of Christianity in the Philippines on Monday, March 15.

The men and women of Police Regional Office 3 was joined by Rev Monsignor Pablo S Legaspi Jr, Vicar General, Diocesan Pastoral Center, Malolos City as guest of honor and speaker during the traditional Flag Raising ceremony held at PRO3 Parade Ground, Camp Olivas, City of San Fernando, Pampanga.

In his message, Rev Msgr Legaspi Jr cited the significant points in the celebration of 500 years of Christianity in the country while praising PRO3 personnel for working tirelessly amidst the pandemic.

Msgr Legaspi also said that the police should not doubt the love of God despite many trials and continue to keep the faith always.

Msgr Legaspi also gave awards and plaques of recognition to members of the religious sector and police officers who have been partners in the moral and spiritual upliftment of the men and women of PRO3.

“Anchored on one of the core values of the PNP which is being MakaDiyos, the entire Central Luzon police force continues to perform our mandated tasks with discipline and integrity,” PRO3 Regional Director PBGEN VALERIANO T DE LEON said. (PIO-3)

Camp Olivas, City of San Fernando, Pampanga- Aside from keeping the communities of Mabalacat safe, personnel of Mabalacat City Police Station has been doing their share to alleviate the lives of the needy especially this pandemic by providing help thru their "Bike for a Cause" program.

Mabalacat City Police Station chief of police PLTCOL ROSSEL CEJAS said that they came up with an idea to utilized bicycles not just as mode of transportation but also as means to give assistance to the less fortunate while at the same time maximizing police presence in the form of an exercise.

Food packs including rice and biscuits were distributed to the 29 girls, 21 boys and 15 adult staff from an orphanage in Mabalacat City. Even civilian bikers were encouraged to take part and joined the law enforcers in said program.

PRO3 Director PBGEN VALERIANO T DE LEON said that this simple gesture of kindness would make them feel that the government and the police care for them and are giving their best to bring excellent services closer to the people so as not for them especially the youth to be entice to join or to be recruited by the CPP-NPA.

Sta. Cruz, Angat on March 10, 2021.

About 40 parents and youths in the Buchi Production Training and Seminar on Peace, Leadership and Community Development attended the activity

Meanwhile, KKDAT Region 3 Adviser and Damayang Filipino Kabataan Chairperson Jose Mari M. Garcia shared the deceptive recruitment tactics of the Communist Party of the Philippines which radicalize young and vulnerable citizens for its misguided vision of revolution.
