Camp Olivas, City of San Fernando, Pampanga- Police personnel of Nueva Ecija and Pampanga ensured the safety and protection of the 1,969 PNPA aspirants on March 7-8, 2021 by providing area security and traffic management and control at the examination centers.

The two-day examination was held at the Nueva Ecija University of Science and Technology, Cabanatuan City, Nueva Ecija and at Pampanga High School, City of San Fernando, Pampanga. Police personnel also made sure that the minimum health standard protocols were strictly observed by the applicants.

Among the general qualification for PNPA Cadetship Program are the following: must be a senior high school graduate; eighteen (18) to twenty-two (22) years old on the date of appointment and 5 feet and 4 inches in height for male and 5 feet and 2 inches for female.

A Bachelor’s Degree in Public Safety and a monthly training allowance amounting to Php38,000.00 will be conferred to the successful applicants who will undergo Cadetship Program and rigid training for four (4) years to become future public servants.

Camp Olivas, City of San Fernando, Pampanga-Police Regional Office 3 joined the entire Philippine National Police in its Ugnayan ng Simbahan at Pulisya (USAP) Program which started, Sunday, March 7.

According to PLTCOL Rev Fr HEINTJE CAÑETE, PRO3 Regional Pastoral Officer, the program which is a monthly activity to be conducted every 1st Sunday of the month to be celebrated in different Cathedral of every PPOs/CPOs and municipalities in their respective AORs aims to foster active and full participation of PNP Personnel to the local churches to strengthen and nourish their spiritual needs.

PRO3 Regional Director PBGEN VALERIANO T DE LEON said that the USAP program is a manifestation of one of the PNP's core values, which is being God-fearing and that all PRO3 personnel steadily believes in the Almighty who keeps the police from harm and danger. (PIO-3)

Camp Olivas, City of San Fernando, Pampanga- PRO3 Regional Director PBGEN VALERIANO T DE LEON ordered the Provincial Director of Aurora Police Provincial Director PCOL JULIUS LIZARDO to immediately disarm a rookie cop after accidentally firing his gun and unintentionally hitting a PUPC in San Luis Municipal Police Station, Saturday night.

Pat Christian TORRES y Ritual, 27 years old, single, policeman, resident of Brgy. 4, San Luis, Aurora was immediately placed under restrictive custody pending the conduct of an in depth investigation relative to the accidental firing resulting to the death of Christian GABRAL y Lumasac, 30 years old, single, resident of Brgy. Zarah, San Luis, Aurora and temporarily under detained at San Luis Municipal Police Station.

Intial investigation revealed that Pat TORRES went infront of the detention cell and without apparent reason drew his issued short firearm, began playing with it and was accidentally fired towards GABRAL who was then watching television.

GABRAL sustained gunshot wound on his chest and was immediately rushed to the hospital for medical treatment but was pronounced dead on arrival by the attending physician.

"If found guilty, he will be meted with both administrative and criminal charges. We do not condone any irregularities from our personnel. I have also ordered to conduct drug test to Pat Torres," PBGEN DE LEON added.

The Provincial Internal Affairs Service is also conducting a Motu Propio investigation on said case while Pat TORRES was subjected for paraffin test.(PIO-3)

Camp Olivas, City of San Fernando, Pampanga - Shooters in Central Luzon participate in the PRO3 REGIONAL DIRECTOR'S CUP held at Sitio Maupas,  Brgy Pinasling,  Gerona, Tarlac on March 5-7, 2021.

The three-day event which showcased the skills of not just the members of the PNP and the AFP BUT the civilian gun ENTHUSIASTS AS WELL  in gun shooting, safety and proper gun-handling was graced by Senator Ronald "Bato" Dela Rosa.

" Maswerte kayo dahil may RD kayong mahilig pumutok. Kaya yung mga ganitong training is pag- igihin natin at PD sabihan mo yang mga tao mo na wag patulog tulog sa station habang wala silang gingawa pag dry firing mo sila kung wala kayong pambili ng bala. Atleast diba mapapractice sila," Senator Dela Rosa said in his message.

Among the attendees were Gov Susan Yap Sulit and former PNP Chief Nicanor Bartolome.

PRO3 Deputy Regional Director for Operations PCOL PEDRO SOLIBA represented PBGEN VALERIANO T DE LEON, PRO3 Regional Director.

 "While this activity served as a venue to hone the shooting and gun handling skills of our policemen in line with the directives of our C, PNP PGEN DEBOLD SINAS, it was also open for civilian gun owners and enthusiasts. This is also an opportunity to foster camaraderie and brotherhood among men and women in uniform and civilians as responsible gun owners," PCOL PEDRO SOLIBA Deputy Regional Director for Operations Division stated.(PIO-3)

Camp Olivas, City of San Fernando, Pampanga- In its continued commitment to support the uniformed and non-uniformed personnel of Police Regional Office 3 by ensuring their health and physical well-being, the PNP Regional Health Service 3 under PCOL JANET HOMO, Chief, RHS3 is currently implementing the EMPOW – OK (Enhanced Monitoring Police Overall Wellness – Oplan Kalusugan).

Dubbed as EMPOW – OK, the program is a Regional Health Service 3 medical disposition emanated from the Annual Physical Examination of the PNPHS for proper assessment and long term management of PRO3 PNP Personnel with medical condition in partnership with Jose B Lingad Memorial General Hospital, our DOH Retained Hospital.

The program aims to give adequate knowledge to PNP personnel on their health for a healthier lifestyle; collect accurate and solid data on the health status of every PNP personnel through Annual Physical Examination of those 40 years and above; provide timely and efficient treatment/diagnosis to any illness that a PNP personnel may suffer from and monitor the health progress of PNP personnel until full recovery.

Relatedly, RHS3 launched their "ONE TIME, BIG TIME ACTIVITIES UNDER NEW NORMAL" which include 100% Risk based testing/RT PCR swab test to all PRO3 personnel; EMPOW - OK face to face medical consultation and evaluation of APE laboratory results, BP taking, random blood sugar screening, and provision of 3 months supply of maintenance medicines; Station Health Units cascading with trainings on Tactical Casualty Care and Basic Life Support ; RHE- Reimbursement of Hospital Expenses info campaign; lecture on COVID 19 vaccination plan & requently asked questions and answers about COVID 19 vaccines; and Station Health Units visitation.

PCOL JANET HOMO stressed their continued commitment to support the PRO3 personnel.

Meanwhile, PRO3 Regional Director PBGEN VALERIANO T DE LEON expressed his gratitude to the RHS3 for their continuous support and encouraged all PRO3 personnel to invest on their health in line with the Chief PNP’s focus directive so that they can better serve the public.(PIO-3)
