Camp Olivas, City of San Fernando, Pampanga—Three (3) suspected drug peddlers died during armed encounter with police in Cabanatuan City, Nueva Ecija on Friday, May 7.

According to the report of PCOL JAIME SANTOS, Acting PD, Nueva Ecija PPO, operating units of Cabanatuan CPS conducted buy bust operation at Mampulog Road, Brgy. Bantug Norte, Cabanatuan City against Daniel LOPEZ y LORENZO; Jared ASUNCION y Beronio; and Jake ELVAMBUENA y Feliciano which resulted into an armed encounter.

Initial evidence found at the crime scene were one (1) caliber .38 revolver, homemade, without serial number, loaded with one (1) FCC, and three (3) cartridges on its chamber; one (1) caliber .45 pistol, homemade, without serial number, with magazine assembly loaded with three (3) Cartridges; two (2) FCCs of caliber .45; one (1) piece Hand Grenade; ten (10) FCCs of cal. 9mm; six (6) pieces of heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing substance believed to be Shabu weighing 15.16 grams with an estimated drug street value of Php103,088.00, one (1) piece plastic sachet of suspected dried marijuana weighing 0.5 grams amounting to Php500.00.

Records show that ELVAMBUENA has a standing alias warrant of arrest under Criminal Case No 22605-18 for Murder duly signed by Hon. Maximo B. Ancheta Jr., Acting Presiding Judge, RTC Branch 87, Gapan City, Nueva Ecija.
